Expert Pump Sales, Installation and Service
At Gildersleeve we have been installing, servicing and repairing pumps for over 70 years. We work on all makes and models and can get you up and running fast. There are four types of pumps commonly used in the residential setting. The most common are the Deep well and the Submersible.
Deep Well Jet Pumps
Deep Well Jet Pumps or “packer type systems” are typically used in areas of higher elevation above the water table where shallow well pumps are no longer adequate. These installations are less expensive than submersible pumps but are less efficient and more costly to operate and maintain. We also offer yearly mainteinance contracts for domestic drinking water systems and yard well pumps.
Centrifugal pumps are a sub-class of dynamic axisymmetric work-absorbing turbomachinery. Centrifugal pumps are used to transport fluids by the conversion of rotational kinetic energy to the hydrodynamic energy of the fluid flow. The rotational energy typically comes from an engine or electric motor. This is typically used on farm and other agricultural settings.
